The London Golf Club Comes Back to ESP Leisure
The London Golf Club (LGC), situated close to Sevenoaks and Brands Hatch has been a regular in the lists of top golf clubs in the UK and Europe for many years now. With two championship quality golf courses, LGC has been host to major tournaments on both the European Tour and Senior European Tour calendars, including the prestigious Volvo World Matchplay and one of the European Tour’s premier events, The European Open.
As a multi-faceted business, LGC’s requirements for technology are vast, from managing events and weddings to providing online tee times to members and visitors. The ability to provide an integrated solution to manage all aspects of the club is of the highest priority, especially with a new major 5* hotel construction project underway.
LGC chose to implement ESP’s Elite Golf Management System back in 1994 when it opened its doors for the first time, but in 2010 decided on a technology change. The club moved their systems to the offering by NFS Hospitality, a US centric solution adopted by many clubs in America and some here in the UK. This decision was not taken lightly by the club and at the time they felt it was the right move. Following five years with NFS Hospitality, ESP Leisure were approached by Dan Naudo, the club’s general manager, as he felt it was the right time to move back to the Elite system.
Dan comments, “We were with NFS for 5 years, but just felt the progression and development of the system to a more UK focused solution was taking too long. Managing VAT and financial data is crucial to our business, so after a period of due diligence, we decided to implement the ESP Elite system again. We just felt the solution gave us the ability to not only manage all aspects of the club, but it gave us the controls a busy multi-faceted business needs.”

ESP Leisure has implemented the Elite system at LGC to manage golf bookings, online tee times and integrated payments, POS and stock management for both retail and F&B, events and golf day management, integration with accounts, customer/member management and CRM.
